When I first stepped onto the set of City Centric, I knew this wasn’t just another hosting

opportunity — it was the chance to bring real stories, real people, and real communities into

the spotlight. Produced by PBS Western Reserve, City Centric highlights changemakers

across Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, diving into the people who make their

cities thrive.

Hosting the show has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Season 2

was especially meaningful because it allowed me to travel across the Western Reserve

region, meet incredible individuals, and witness how deeply rooted passion can transform a

community. It also opened doors for me personally, teaching me the art of storytelling in a

whole new way and connecting me with people who inspired me long after the cameras

stopped rolling.

In this blog, I want to give you a closer look at Season 2 — the six episodes we filmed, the

stories we told, and what I learned as a host along the way.

The Cities of Season 2

Don’t make your guide longer than 2000 words. In an ultimate guide, you also have a lot of space to use your SEO keywords. Put 2-3 keywords around in the post, in the H2 headings, and in the text itself. Add Anchors Links much like a table of contents where readers can click and go to a section of the post. To add them, click on Link in the toolbar above, select Section and select one of the headings in the post.

Season 2 featured six unique cities, each episode highlighting six local changemakers. What I

love most about City Centric is that every city has its own flavor, and every guest has a story

worth telling. Here’s a peek into each episode: Check out City Centric

  1. Cuyahoga Falls, OH- Watch Now

  2. Chagrin Falls, OH- Watch Now

  3. Warren, OH- Watch Now

  4. New Castle, PA- Watch Now

  5. Wooster, OH- Watch Now

  6. Medina, OH- Watch Now

Hosting City Centric has been about more than just asking questions on camera. It pushed

me to listen deeper, to find the right words to connect with guests, and to balance the role of interviewer and storyteller.

It also reminded me that vulnerability creates connection. Not every guest was used to the

spotlight, but when they opened up about their passions, struggles, or dreams, that’s when

the magic happened. Those were the moments I felt honored to sit in the host chair.

Personally, Season 2 gave me opportunities I never imagined — new collaborations,

speaking invitations, and doors opening in the hosting world. It allowed me to grow my voice

not just as a presenter but as someone who believes in amplifying others.

Why This Show Matters

At its core, City Centric is about people. It’s about shining a light on the educators, artists,

leaders, and everyday heroes who make their communities better. Season 2 proved that

regional storytelling matters — it brings pride, sparks inspiration, and reminds us that change

often begins at the local level.

For me, it’s more than a show — it’s part of my journey as a host and storyteller. And I hope

there’s so much more to come.

■ Your Turn (Interactive Homework)

If you haven’t watched Season 2 yet, here’s your homework:

1. Pick an Episode — Choose the city closest to your heart and watch the episode online.

2. Reflect — What story surprised or inspired you most?

3. Engage Locally — Identify one person in your own community who’s making a difference.

Reach out, thank them, or share their story.

Season 2 may have wrapped, but the impact of these stories continues. And I can’t wait to

share more with you if we’re lucky enough to return for Season 3.
